Enamelast is a xylitol-sweetened, 5% sodium fluoride varnish in a resin carrier. Its superior fluoride release and uptake means more fluoride is absorbed into the enamel over a longer period of time than other leading competitors. Ultradent Products Designed for professional dental use, it is trusted by clinicians worldwide, including dental practitioners across Pakistan, for its ease of application and proven clinical results.
Clinical Uses
- Caries Prevention — The AAPD recommends fluoride varnish for use as a preventive adjunct to reduce the risk of caries, and the ADA supports the use of fluoride to both protect enamel and prevent cavities.
- Tooth Sensitivity Treatment — Enamelast covers and penetrates into open dentinal tubules to treat sensitivity. It is particularly effective for patients with exposed root surfaces or post-whitening sensitivity.
- Orthodontic Use — Enamelast is great for patients undergoing orthodontic treatment, especially those who currently have an orthodontic sealant on their teeth. When Enamelast is applied to a tooth treated with sealant, it recharges the sealant for even longer fluoride release.
- Pediatric Dentistry — Recommended for children from the time their first tooth erupts. Available in child-friendly flavors to reduce patient resistance.
- High-Risk Caries Patients — Although fluoride varnish is sometimes viewed as a pediatric product, patients at every age at risk for caries can benefit from fluoride varnish. Applying fluoride varnish two to four times per year substantially reduces the occurrence of caries.
How to Apply
- Clean and dry the tooth surface before application.
- For unit-dose packs, peel open the blister pack, dip the applicator brush into the prefilled well, and paint the varnish directly onto the teeth.
- For syringe delivery, attach the SoftEZ tip and express the varnish directly onto the tooth surface or into a well before painting.
- Instruct the patient not to eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after application.
- Each syringe provides enough varnish for 2 to 4 patients.
