Green Stick Compound

Green Stick Compound, also known as Impression Compound Type 1, is a low-fusing thermoplastic dental material available in stick form. It is one of the most widely used prosthodontic materials in dental clinics across Pakistan. The material softens when exposed to warm water or a gentle flame, allowing the dentist to adapt it precisely to the patient’s vestibular anatomy. Once it cools, it hardens and retains the exact shape, delivering a reliable peripheral seal essential for complete denture retention.

Unlike alginate or silicone impression materials, green stick compound is specifically designed for border extension and tray modification, making it an indispensable material during the preliminary stages of denture construction.
