Nickel-titanium (NiTi) archwires are orthodontic wires used to align teeth and correct bite issues. They are often used in the early stages of treatment but can also be used to fine-tune teeth later on. They apply a force to the teeth that gradually decreases as the wire warms up to body temperature. The force moves the teeth slowly and comfortably.
